Zomeworks Trackers

Zomeworks Universal Trackers

Tracking increases the annual output of a photovoltaic module by about 25% over that of a fixed rack.  Since the greatest gain is in the summer when water is in the most demand, Universal Trackers are ideal for PV powered water pumping.  The Universal Tracker is easy to install.  It slips over a pipe mast set in concrete  and is locked in place by tightening a bolt.  All Track Racks have adjustable axes from 5 to 45.

Zomeworks uses a simple and effective counterbalance system to position the array in the direction of the sun.  The side rails contain R22 Freon that when it warms up it migrates to the other side forcing the heavy side towards to heat source (the Sun).  To act as a buffer the tracker has a modified car shock absorber  that smoothes out the weight transfer.  This passive tracking system is prone to unwanted repositioning when exposed to winds above 20 mph.

Universal Trackers fit most modules available.  New stainless steel "Z" clips eliminate drilling and allow trackers to fit most modules available.  The three digits in the Tracker model number tell you the maximum PV area that the tracker is designed to hold.  For example, the TRU100 holds 100 square feet of modules, or 14 BP275, or 24 Solec S50 modules.
