Safety Disconnects

Safe T-Block

Reliably protects high amperage components from over loads and short circuit damage.  It uses the same fuse as the SafeT-Switch but does not allow for emergency disconnection of the load from the source.  This item is the bare minimum of protection from over-current and fire hazard.

FB110-T   (1) 110 amp fuse, #2/0 lugs and polycarbonate cover $55.00
FB200-T   (1) 200 amp fuse, #2/0 lugs and polycarbonate cover $55.00
FB300-T   (1) 300 amp fuse, #250 lugs and polycarbonate cover $80.00
FB400-T   (1) 400 amp fuse, #250 lugs and polycarbonate cover $80.00

To order, please send an e-mail to jean@nwes.com with the model number. We will send a personal confirmation ASAP.

Note:  For small in line fuses (1-10 amps) or other circuits that need a minimum of protection we suggest you check your local Radio Shack.  This type of circuit protection will not meet the National Electric Code (NEC)  but it will give you a minimum of protection.  Every positive or hot wire in the system whether it is low voltage or 120 VAC needs to at least be fused.

Trace® DC Disconnect / Over-Current

250 amp or 175 amp DC-rated circuit breaker with enclosure.

Trace Engineering has made it even easier to install your system to the National Electric Code requirements.  The DC250 and DC175 are designed specifically for single or dual Trace SW and DR series inverter systems.  Optional second main breaker, DC bonding block and 15 or 60 amp circuit breakers allow customization and expansion to meet your system's requirements both  today and tomorrow.

Battery Disconnect:

  • Provides an easy and convenient way to isolate the inverter and battery.

  • Meets the National Electrical Code requirement for "means of disconnection."

  • Has no exposed "hot terminals" or removable parts to be damaged or lost.

  • Accepts up to #4/0 AWG fine strand cable-no ring terminal lugs required.

  • Knockouts provided for conduit connections-both 2" and 2-1/2" sizes (concentric type).

Over-current Protection:

  • DC rated circuit breakers are UL listed for systems up to 125 VDC.
  • Extremely low voltage drop-less than most fuses or current shunts.
  • Rated for interrupting high fault current-up to 25,000 amps at 65 VDC.
  • Easy to reset.  No more fumbling in the dark trying to find and replace blown fuses.
  • Has no exposed "hot" terminals or removable parts to be damaged or lost.
  • 250 amp for #4/0 AWG cables systems / 175 amp for  #2/0 AWG cabled systems.
