Battery Diagrams

Batteries are wired in series and/or a parallel configuration. When a battery is wired in series the positive terminal is wired to the next battery’s negative terminal. This increases voltage while maintaining the same amperage. When parallel wiring, the positive terminal of one battery is wired to the positive terminal of the other battery. In this type of setup the voltage stays the same and the amperage goes up.
