Lorentz

The Lorentz pumps are the world's most economical water pump, and they are used in deep well pumping, pressurized and non-pressurized irrigation, home water systems and livestock watering.  There are no limits to how large solar pumps can be built.  But, they tend to be most competitive in small installations where combustion engines are least economical.

With so many variables in wells, pumps, motors, and location it is impossible to list all the combinations on this web site. Here is a sample based on a 4" well 175' deep. Static level is 65'. The well produces 6 gpm. The owner wants the pump as deep as possible in case of a sever drought so the pump will be set at 150'. This is for watering 30 head of cattle (25 gallons per day per head) with a tank at the well head. The location is in Boundary County Idaho and is used from late spring to early fall. It is installed in a pasture with no shade and has solar exposure from sunrise to sunset. We will use a top of pole mount to help shade the tank and keep the array out of reach of the cows. A larger solar module is being used so we can get better pumping during marginal sun days.

Call, write, fax, or e-mail us with your needs so we can design a system for you. Please provide at least as much detail as in the example above.
